The mission of Middle Tennessee Natural Gas Utility District is to improve the welfare of the communities it serves by providing quality natural gas service at competitive rates in a safe, environmentally clean and efficient manner.
The Middle Tennessee Utility District of Cannon, Cumberland, DeKalb, Putnam, Rhea, Rutherford, Smith, Warren, White and Wilson Counties, Tennessee (Middle Tennessee Natural Gas or MTNG) was created in July, 1955 as a municipal corporation pursuant to the Utility District Act of 1937, to provide natural gas service to residents, businesses and industries within its boundaries.
Over 55,000 customers are served by Middle Tennessee Natural Gas in 124 communities in all or portions of 21 counties. We have over 125 employees trained and ready to meet the natural gas needs of our customers.
